Overview

Herculaneum High School has been graduating students for over 100 years.

Our football program got off to a strong start, thanks in part to this member of the Blackcat Hall of Fame.  When Stan Helms graduated in 1965, the quarterback had 27 consecutive wins.

The city, along the banks of the Mississippi, made musket balls used in the War of 1812.  This mural in Jefferson City depicts the riverbank.

Herculaneum students have been well represented over the years for their athletic accomplishments.  Our boys are girls cross country teams have numerous state championships.

During the Great Depression, workers from the WPA built our stone bleachers.

Students are being challenged academically with curriculum provided by Project Lead The Way.  The courses focus on problem solving, critical and creative thinking, collaboration, and communication.  Students will benefit from these real word skills far beyond their time in high school.
